About ASJ
History
The Aoyama School of Japanese was established in 1976 with its main purpose of teaching Japanese to foreigners residing in Japan.
The school began by teaching practical daily conversations to foreigners who were mainly European and American businessmen.
By the year 2009, the school has grown to a size of 20 teachers and 120 students from17 different countries throughout the world.
The Aoyama School is not only a language school for its good teaching reputation but also for the widely recognized effort in introducing Japanese culture, society and the uniqueness of the Japanese people’s way of thinking.
Fundamental School Mission
- Aim at teaching Japanese to foreigner.
- Provide a place where fellow students can have interactions through learning the Japanese language.
- Based on the spirit of HOSPITALITY, we provide students with the decent environment to assist their practical use of Japanese language.
- Apart from learning the language, students will also be introduced to various aspects ranging from the Japanese history, culture and mind.
- Crossing over the frames of politics, religions, races and languages, we aim at building the foundation of trust.
Aoyama School’s Commitment to Students
In order to enhance the current learning atmosphere, the school aims at providing active support to its students who sincerely hope to make maximum benefit of their experience of studying in Japan. As such, the school has purposed the following four educational objectives.
- Assisting students in attaining their goals of study.
- Apart from studying, actively assisting students to adjust their lives in Japan.
- Introducing Japanese culture, the uniqueness of Japanese spirits, the people’s way of thinking through various casual gatherings and visits.
- Providing students with invaluable experiences which could, in future, result in great asset to their lives even after returning to home countries, and encourage active and meaningful participations in their future connection with Japan.
